Jelavic has been a steal... He doesn't do anything incredible, but he's composed in front of goal and always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

Paul,

Great points, and ones I share.

To pick up on some points though. Fellaini is one for me that frustrates, and this is on two levels. For one he is far too flamboyant and tries that spin move at the wrong time. His passing game is shocking, he can't head the ball, and his goal ratio is not good enough. Secondly all these aspects seem to be ignored by fans who see him as a star player.

Very much like Arteta was seen as a saviour, even though his set pieces, corners and general play towards the end was dismal. Also the same ideology could be attributed to Billy, albeit in reverse. His ability to strike a ball and score cracking goals is ignored for the fact he wasn't a great winger, even though he wasn't a winger anyway.

I was also perplexed to not see Liverpool's bogey player on the team sheet. Tim Cahill always scores against Liverpool. It's kind of game, so again was surprised to not see him play.

Ironically it was the 3 players tweeting loudest before the game who never played. Does Moyes instruct his players to do so? Is it just one big PR machine?

Whatever it is, you don't sacrifice a derby for a very winnable tie against Sunderland. Perhaps if we were playing Arsenal or Man U, fair enough - but it's Sunderland at home, and they have two important players out suspended too.

Baffles me it truly does. You should never ever think about the next game while your preparing for the current one. It just doesn't fit right for me. What if we end up out of the cup and 1pt off Europe? That would signal a failure by Moyes and I would gladly drive him down to London.

But what compounded it for me, and what really pisses me off about Moyes is his lack of respect for the fans of the so-called 'People's Club'. You don't say that he expected 2 points from the last 2 games so he was happy with 3! That is basically saying he's not arsed about losing to Liverpool. It's also saying he didn't expect to beat Spurs at home. I'm sorry, you should always expect to beat anyone at home. The moment you don't expect that, is the moment you start sliding down.

I want a manager who has a) self-belief, b) ambition, c) respect for the fans.

Moyes has none of them.

Admittedly you did appear very nervous.
Frustration, nerves - whatever it was - be a bit more positive. We want to raise awareness and encourage a wider fan base, not put people off. Keep up the good work with Followtonains. We should be proud that year after year we consistently niggle and ankle bite the big boys who are spending stupid money. Chelsea are encroaching on £1bn spending since their Russian Knight appeared, and they are no better than Everton this season. IMWT, C'mon you blues.

fair enough. Maybe it was poor word choice. Maybe it was a bit of nerves. Maybe it was years of frustration at a lack of investment and innovation by the board. I love David Moyes, and the day he leaves will be a very sad day in Everton's long and storied history.
Regardless thanks for watching, and having enough passion to comment. All views are appreciated.

Eric, your choice of words leaves a lot to be desired, it sounded completely derogatory.

Moyes has done a "MAGICAL JOB WITH NOTHING" and he is getting "SO MUCH EFFORT OUT OF SO LITTLE".

I think there's a squad of International Players & Coaching Staff who would completely disagree with your comments.

It is true to say we have little investment when compared to other clubs, but to describe our current players as "SO LITTLE" is either a very negative opinion or an extremely poor choice of words.

I'd say I've been fair on Moyes. I've said he is a cautious manager, there is no denying that is true.

I understand the approach of easing him in and using him sparingly but Moyes has barely used him at all. We've meekly surrendered in some games due to a lack of attacking threat; he can offer that.

We've had games were we have nothing to lose and he still hasn't been used. Yes, he isn't the finished article and Moyes has got his approach right; to an extent.

I would just like to seem him used a bit more often.
